  • David Morken

    Cofounder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

    Mr. Morken is also the Cofounder, Chairman and former CEO of Republic Wireless. Mr. Morken is the Cofounder of Durham Cares. Prior to founding Bandwidth in 1999, Mr. Morken served on active duty in the Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate and Headquarters Company Commander. Mr. Morken received a B.A. in Political Science from Oral Roberts University and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

    • John Murdock

      Director

      Mr. Murdock has served on the board since 2016. Mr. Murdock joined Bandwidth in 2008 serving initially as general counsel, then as President until December 2018. Mr. Murdock presently serves as a board member of other private technology companies, including Relay, Inc. Mr. Murdock was previously an attorney in private practice, with experience in complex civil litigation. Mr. Murdock previously served as a Marine Corps officer on active duty, including service in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Mr. Murdock obtained a B.S. in Finance from Miami University of Ohio with an NROTC scholarship, and received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

    • Brian D. Bailey

      Director

      Brian D. Bailey has served as a director of Bandwidth since February 2013. Mr. Bailey is a Cofounder and Managing Partner of Carmichael Partners, a private investment firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to forming Carmichael Partners, he worked in private equity at The Carlyle Group in Washington, Forstmann Little & Co. in New York and Carousel Capital in Charlotte. In addition to his private equity background, Mr. Bailey previously held investment banking positions at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. in Charlotte and CS First Boston in New York and served in several government positions in Washington including Special Assistant to the President in the Office of the White House Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Planning and Policy at the U.S. Small Business Administration. Mr. Bailey currently serves on the boards of Bandwidth, Bluerock Residential Growth REIT, Republic Wireless and the TDF Foundation. He has previously served on the boards of a number of private, public and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Bailey holds a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. We believe that Mr. Bailey is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his experience in the private equity industry and as a director of public and private companies.

    • Luke Roush

      Director

      Luke Roush co-founded Sovereign’s Capital in 2012, and is a Managing Partner for the firm. While living in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta from 2013-2016, he opened the firm's operations in Asia. Luke is primarily focused on the firm's healthcare and consumer product investments. Prior to Sovereign’s Capital, Luke had twelve years of experience in global commercialization and business development at venture-backed and Fortune 500 companies. He was Vice President for Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at TransEnterix (NYSE:TRXC), a medical device company that developed and commercialized a minimally invasive surgical system in the US, Europe, and Asia. Prior to TransEnterix, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Liquidia Technologies (NASDAQ:LQDA), a nanotechnology company focused on biopharmaceutical applications. Luke previously served as global marketing manager for the neurovascular stroke business at Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX). He also co-founded 410 Medical, a device company focused on fluid infusion in pediatric and adult emergency care. Luke graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, and later earned his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business. Luke resides in San Jose, California with his wife, Brooke, and their three children. 

    • Douglas A. Suriano

      Director

      Douglas A. Suriano has served as a director of Bandwidth since October 2017. Until September 2019, Mr. Suriano was senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Communications. Mr. Suriano joined Oracle Communications in 2013 as vice president of products following Oracle Communications’ acquisition of Tekelec, Inc. At Tekelec, Inc., Mr. Suriano served as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. Prior to Tekelec, Inc., Mr. Suriano served as the vice president of engineering at dynamicsoft, Inc. and chief information officer for QAD, Inc. Before QAD, Inc., Mr. Suriano managed the information technology division for the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Suriano holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.S. in information technology from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. 

    • Rebecca Bottorff

      Chief People Officer and Director

      As a member of Bandwidth’s board of directors, she brings a 30-year track record of enabling organizations to scale by building employer-of-choice cultures with highly engaged workforces. As Chief People Officer, she is responsible for developing and directing the overall People Services (human resources) strategy for Bandwidth. She also oversees internal communications, corporate real estate and facilities management, and the company’s corporate giving and community involvement program, Bandwidth Cares. Before Bandwidth, Bottorff was founder and President of Venture Savvy Consulting Group, providing human resources and leadership expertise primarily to growing technology companies. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Human Resources and a member of the executive team at Motricity (now Voltari), a publicly traded digital advertising company. Earlier, she was Vice President of Human Resources and a member of the executive team at then-public Konover Property Trust. Bottorff holds a B.A in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati.
